“Arti-Chaut” is a delightful 30 minutes spent at the theatre. Sarah Peterson deftly displays her agility and dancing skills as a young single woman who has a humdrum day job in an office, and that humdrum existence is briefly broken when she eagerly prepares for a hot dinner date at her apartment. However, the rules of Murphy’s Law apply to her when everything goes wrong with the preparation, from getting dressed to cooking the meal. The show fondly reminds me of a comedy sketch from a TV variety series during the 60s or 70s. A very entertaining multidisciplinary show.
-Stuart Nulman, Montreal Times
“A delightful piece of circus/acrobatics/mime, Arti-Chaut puts a fun twist on a day in the life of an average working girl. We follow the nameless girl onstage (played be Sarah Peterson) through a hard day at her boring job, through the busy streets of her crowded city, and finally, home to her apartment, where she clumsily attempts to prepare for a dinner date. Full of impressive physical feats, lightning-quick scene changes and a wicked soundtrack (I was on board from the moment the show opened on a Caravan Palace track, and Peterson had me wrapped around her little finger during a cool-as-f*ck dance scene to Leonard Cohen’s I’m Your Man), my only complaint about this light, magical show is that I didn’t want it to end.’
- Bloody Underrated
Fringe Festival: Lil’ Blurb on “Arti-Chaut”
Are you leading a busy life and can’t find the time for the Fringe fest (although, one should make the effort to clear up some space in their busy schedule for the Fringe fest)? No need to worry, for Sarah Peterson’s show “Arti-Chaut” is just the thing for you. Peterson’s one-woman 30 minute show is full of energy as she dances and jumps her way through life’s daily hassles. Whether she is performing mundane tasks at work, dodging cars on her way home or preparing for a date, Peterson combines her acrobats with humour and keeps this show light on its feet.

What a delightful piece! Sarah Peterson is charming and her antics are fabulous to watch. Funny and charming we root for her all the way. At only 20 minutes, I certainly wished it was longer. I look forward to seeing other shows from her in the future!

Definitely one to see! Sarah Peterson brings such life and joy to her performance. She fills the big black space with her energy and keeps your eyes glued on her. The pace never drops and the music/sound design is very well done. If only it weren't so short! But hey, it leaves you wanting more!
